Ironman training is a day in and day out, never ending, grinding experience. The training never stops… This is what creates the Ironman athlete, not the race. The lifestyle itself creates a fundamental paradigm shift in your overall time management, priorities, eating, preparation, and pretty much helps creates complete order where order may or may not have previously existed.

In the old days I hesitated and tried to brainstorm to figure out what I was going to do after work, before work, at lunch, and in my free time. Not anymore. Now I have a schedule, tasks that MUST be completed, boxes that need to be checked off, hours and hours of training that needs to be done. If you hesitate then it never gets done. To become an Ironman you must totally buy into the whole concept, the whole package, the whole SHABANG!
