Don't miss

One year of Ironman Training lessons…

By on June 4, 2012

You can read about training plans, diets, and other things on another site… Today I am just writing a few things that I figured out over the past year in preparation for this upcoming Ironman goal…

1. At first not many people will support you, in fact, they will doubt everything about your goal… You will have to begin laying down a foundation of smaller goals that build up to larger goals, then larger, then larger. Slowly people will start believing you might actually pull it off. Once they start believing in you they will support you in ways you could have never imagined.. Good people find you.. Good people Support you…

2. Training is hard and time consuming but more than anything you’ll be eating tons of food… Since I am vegan I eat almost 24/7 to keep my calories up and my recovery, energy, and performance in good shape.

3. Don’t bother with time goals your first year… Only measure your “happy” meter and your heart rate…

4. Play… yup, I said PLAY… Laugh, experiment, change things, and have fun.

5. Help the new people and get help from the veterans… The veterans are full of knowledge and they usually like to help.
